Dustin Pattison’s “River to the People” Photography Exhibit
I recently had the great pleasure of documenting my friend Dustin Pattison’s “River to the People” photo exhibit, featuring work shot for the Human Access Project (HAP), at The Jupiter Hotel. Dustin and I met last year just after PDX Squared, and he’s now a street photography inspiration and trusted comrade in the PDX photography world.
Dustin’s work has become iconic in the Portland river recreation/restoration scene. He’s been recording HAP’s riverside parties for the past two years, helping support and promote HAP’s work to return enjoyment - and stewardship - of the Willamette River to Portland’s community.
HAP’s wintertime river celebration invited folks to attend in summer style, and featured Burn Barrel Sauna’s mobile sauna, delicious food from Shorty’s Hot Dogs, and Pop Cart PDX’s DJ’d tunes to keep everyone warm.
If you haven’t been to one of the Human Access Project’s summertime shindigs, you simply must. If you’re lucky, you just might be captured by Dustin’s lens.
Congratulations again, Dustin!
